Blachford Acoustics Group Announces Acoustics Laboratory Leadership Transition and Continued Growth of Acoustics Team
West Chicago, IL – Blachford Acoustics Group, a leading provider of noise control and thermal management solutions is announcing an organizational transition within its Acoustics laboratory as Sam Suh, Acoustics Lab Manager, departs the company to pursue an exciting opportunity in underwater acoustics.
Sam has been an important contributor to the development of Blachford’s acoustic testing capabilities and customer support programs, and we thank him for his dedication and leadership. While we are sad to see Sam leave, we are excited for this next opportunity and proud that his work will support critical U.S. military and national defense initiatives. We wish him continued success in the next chapter of his career.

As part of a planned transition, Blachford has implemented a leadership structure that ensures uninterrupted support for customer programs, testing activities, and product development initiatives. David Neihguk, Senior Acoustics Engineer will provide interim leadership and coordination for the acoustics laboratory while a search is conducted for a permanent Acoustics Lab Manager. David brings significant technical expertise and customer experience to the role, ensuring continuity across ongoing development and validation programs. Further strengthening the team, Olivia Van Fleet will transition to Acoustics Engineer, expanding the group’s technical resources and customer support capabilities. Olivia’s acoustics engineering background and customer-facing experience position her well to contribute to acoustic testing, analysis, and development projects. Together with Acoustics Assistant Eric Seleski., the acoustics laboratory remains fully staffed and fully operational.
