Blachford AM Ltd. Achieves Caterpillar Platinum Certification for 2nd Year in a Row

For the 2nd year in a row, Blachford AM Ltd., a subsidiary of Blachford Acoustics Group, has been awarded Caterpillar’s Platinum SQEP Certification.  The Caterpillar Supplier Quality Excellence Process requirements factor in efforts by almost all departments within a company and help Caterpillar determine a supplier level from Bronze all the way up to Platinum; with Platinum having the strictest targets to meet.

To receive the Platinum certification, Blachford AM was allowed a maximum of 10 reject parts per million produced along with a 98% or better on time shipping performance among other metrics. This continues the plant’s streak of being Gold or higher in all four years of their eligibility under Cat’s strict, extensive SQEP Program.  The Cambridge, Ontario plant had previously been awarded Caterpillar Gold in 2017 and 2018 before achieving Platinum status in 2019 and 2020.

Blachford has been working with Caterpillar for almost 50 years and in 2021, Blachford’s parent company, H.L. Blachford Ltd. (Mississauga, ON) celebrated its 100-year anniversary.   Our strong partnership continues to expand and grow with parts shipping to over 20 Caterpillar locations worldwide from three different BAG Plants, Blachford AM Ltd., Blachford Inc. and Blachford UK Ltd., in Canada, the United States and the United Kingdom respectively.
