Polydensity Polyester Fiber

Designed to provide superior sound absorption inside engine compartments and heavy machinery cabs, Conasorb™ PEPD from Blachford Acoustics is perfect for commercial and off-highway vehicle applications. Typically one- to two-inches thick, this product features a vertically lapped polyester fiber absorber pressed between two compressed polyester fiber acoustical facings. These stiff facings provide the ability to hold the layer in place with clips instead of adhesive.

Typical Applications:

  • Conasorb™ PEPD is designed for engine compartment and in-cab applications where high sound absorption is needed as well as low flammability.
  • This product has a stiff facing and can be inserted into holding channels or clips without the need for adhesive.
  • The polyester fiber-based product can be molded and is used to replace fiberglass insulation in commercial and off-highway vehicles.
  • Various fiber thicknesses are available.
