Fiberglass

Created to provide both excellent thermal protection and superior noise reduction, Conasorb™ GL from Blachford Acoustics is the best of both worlds. Typically used railcars and engine compartments of commercial and construction vehicles, this product features a thick fiberglass layer protected by one of several impermeable facings that make it easy to mold and resistant to high temperatures.

Typical Applications:

  • Conasorb™ GL is designed to provide thermal insulation and sound absorption in railcars and engine compartments of commercial and off-highway vehicles.
  • The foil facing provides a protective and impermeable layer to the top side of the fiberglass and is also utilized as a radiant heat reflector.
  • Conasorb™ GL is designed to have high-temperature resistance and low flammability.
