Blachford Celebrates 100 Years in Business By Giving Back
Blachford has prospered for 100 years! To celebrate this milestone, and in support of the company’s commitment to Sustainability and Corporate Social Responsibility, owner and CEO John Blachford announced a major tree planting initiative in two parts: In the spring of 2022, Blachford will work with a local landscaper to plant a grove of indigenous, beneficial trees on the south east portion of its property on Royal Windsor Drive in Mississauga. Blachford has donated $25,000 CAD ($20,000 USD, £15,000) to the Forests Ontario 50 Million Tree Program, to plant 6,250 trees on indigenous land in Northern Ontario. More details [...]
Blachford Donates $250,000 CAD To Fight Ovarian Cancer
After two of his employees lost their wives to ovarian cancer, John Blachford, CEO of Blachford, was determined to help. Ovarian cancer is an elusive and deadly disease, often only presenting symptoms in its most advanced stages.
